You know, in the last posts I have created resources and activities which were very helpful to celebrate some important dates with my students in my school.

Their feedback was great!

Firstly, one thing I’ve noticed is that kids love colour.

Secondly, they like giving their opinion. Even when there are problems in speaking or writing, they always try their best when they are enjoying and having fun during the lessons!

I’ve already written a post about some of the reasons why it is important to celebrate fun days of the year in ESL.

Anyway, with Halloween and Thanksgiving, it is always quite easy because they are wonderful topics to explore in ESL lessons!

But, this week I will be talking about something where I am not an expert. This week I’m going to be talking about CLOTHING and about the kinds of clothing that people wear – FASHION!

I’m starting this unit with some of my classes and I wanted to try out the same strategies and activities, this time with a topic which is part of their curriculum.

After Thanksgiving and during Black Friday Week, students face online big fashion sales. So I think this is the right time to see if some of my activities are also useful with other ESL topics!

Use a dialogue/dialogues

These strategies will make the students access new words with little or no trouble at all!
